On 6 August 2024, our team at Entrust Network had the pleasure of celebrating Singapore’s 59th National Day with the seniors at the Orange Valley Active Ageing Centre (Care) at Alkaff Crescent. This event was part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community, particularly to our cherished senior citizens.
Pop Quiz with Prizes
We kicked off the day with a fun and educational pop quiz on IT topics such as scams prevention. The seniors showed great enthusiasm and knowledge, and we awarded prizes to those who answered the questions correctly, adding a competitive yet enjoyable touch to the morning.
Digital Literacy Consultation
We offered hands-on help with common phone issues seniors faced, such as application troubles, adjusting text sizes, and managing notifications. They found this practical assistance valuable, making their digital experience smoother and more enjoyable.
Lunch and Drinks
We provided nasi lemak and drinks for lunch, which we enjoyed together with the seniors. It was a casual time filled with good food and conversation, allowing us to connect and share stories over a hearty meal.
Cake Cutting and Karaoke
We wrapped up the event with a fun cake-cutting ceremony, featuring a cake decorated with the Singapore flag to mark the country’s 59th National Day. To top off the celebration, we joined the seniors for a lively karaoke session where we sang the Singapore theme song, “Home”. It was a joyful and memorable end to our day, celebrating togetherness and the spirit of the occasion.
